Urban Grape DC x LuxuryofSPC Hospitality
Wow! September flew by in a whirlwind of excitement and adventure! It was a month filled with chasing dreams and creating unforgettable experiences with a top luxury hospitality brand. I can't wait to share some thrilling highlights from the After Brunch Tasting Takeover at Urban Grape DC, where I had the honor of being DC's very own local hospitality blogger on September 14th!

Around the World Tasting: Let's Travel with Wine
So why the theme "Around the World"? Well as simple as it may seem being a hospitality curator, it was honestly the Urban Grape Team that sparked this idea! Purposefully, I knew I wanted to have a personal touch for attendees to resonate with a curated yet authentic wine experience. Hence, the options for the 4 regions featured: France, South Africa, Germany, and Italy.
Where I've Been: feat. wines from France
In 2019, I had the amazing experience of visiting Paris for the first time for study abroad. Having both of these wines available for tasting allowed attendees (and lets be honest myself included) a taste of France for a few hours. P.S. the Plaimont, “Les Cepages” St Mont was a crowd favorite!!!

Where I'm Headed: feat. wines from South Africa
For those who are just joining my blog, I am excited (and nervous) for my upcoming trip to Cape Town, South Africa in October! Since this trip was right around the corner from the tasting, I wanted to feature South African Wines. Fun Fact: Did you know that Urban Grape DC is the largest seller of South African wines?

Where to Next? featuring wines from Italy & Germany
The next destinations I have on my list are definitely Italy and Germany (and I am confirming one of these destinations soon on the blog)! I have never gone, but I have heard good and intriguing things about both! So why not take a peek with these wines below:
Germany: 2021 Dautel Spatburgunder Estate Pinot Noir, 2022 Darting Durkheimer Nonnengarten Riesling Kabinett
Italy: 2021 Tenuta Arceno Chianti Classico, 2020 Il Fauno Arcanum

The Real Magic: TroodieApp, Urban Charcuterie, & Twisted Treats
Now this event could not have been possible without the amazing vendors and partners who were featured at the wine tasting. This brand is very intentional about working with black owned entrepreneurs and each vendor was black owned and women owned. See details about each business and founder below:
TroodieApp: Food and Travel Recommendations
Troodie App was established by Taylor and her team with the aim of providing a sleek, all-in-one web-based platform for food enthusiasts to document their culinary, accommodation, and travel experiences, whether on the road or exploring local gems. In collaboration with LuxuryofSPC Hospitality, Troodie App presented luxury hotel selections for each highlighted region. Urban Charcuterie: Chic Charcuterie Experience
It was a stroke of luck that I discovered Urban Charcuterie's IG Page through mutual followers. Niccarra, the Founder of Urban Charcuterie, offered elegant and sophisticated charcuterie boards for guests to savor and complement their tastings. The boards featured a selection of charcuterie and cheeses, along with exotic fruits and floral arrangements. Click here to view Urban Charcuterie's Instagram page to admire her stunning board creations and consider booking her for your upcoming event!

Twisted Treats: Macarons with a Twist
You know a vendor is good when they are recommended by another entrepreneur! Twisted Treats was an excellent recommendation and if you were there to try her macarons you know I am 100% telling the truth. Like Mizan, founder of Twisted Treats stated "Macarons and wine go together like bread and butter". VIP's were able to try new flavors of macarons during the tasting.
