New Year, New Luxury

Updated: Feb 18, 2023

2022 - Who, What, When, Where, and How?

Wow! 2021 has come and gone and 2022 is here to make its stamp on the new normals of life. 2021 was a year that I reflected upon, accepted what may have carried over to 2022, and planned to make strides for more blessings into the new year. However, I couldn't help but to think what does 2022 mean for me as a person, a blogger, a professional, and whatever other titles I decided to write down with each to-do list.

Additionally, what does 2022 mean for luxury hospitality? At the end of 2020 I decided to create a soft launch of my website LuxuryofSPC. I am so thankful for the support and subscribers since I have started. To be honest, I haven't been super consistent with writing because I had to take a moment and ask myself a few questions:

Food for thought

  1. During the past two years of COVID-19, does Luxury even exist?

  2. Is my narrative enough to engage people in Luxury?

  3. Am I ready to continue that narrative despite my own challenges?

  4. How do I incorporate lifestyle and luxury together?

  5. How do I continue to navigate the real from the fake?

Still Black. Still It. Still Excellent.

Location: Four Seasons Baltimore, MD

No coincidence many of us are utilizing February as a restart after feeling out January in the new year. And for me? I am taking this time off of social media streams to navigate through those food for thought questions. I do know that the answer NO MATTER WHAT concludes to three things (and not just February, but everyday). I am still Black. I am still It. I am still Excellent. I am every bit a part of this journey and narrative as each of you are. I can admit a new year sometimes will bring new trials, tribulations, adjustments, and new habits.

So what does this mean? This means I will not be afraid to create a safe space for all to enjoy a life of luxury travel with a narrator who looks like them. I look forward to combining the thought of luxury and lifestyle. I learned that another year of many things being out of control, we have the right to control safe spaces, prioritizing treating ourselves to luxury travel, and mental health and wellness. I won't go too much in detail with this first post, but just know it'll be the first of many. Have a seat and get ready for a journey you don't want to miss.

Welcome Back,

xoxo
