2021 - Did anyone else come into the new year feeling like they were still wrapped up in the twilight zone of 2020 and everything the year came with? I know one thing is for certain - I was so ready to leave 2020 behind and indulge in the new year with new goals and a MAJOR focus on health and wellness. Although its a new year, there will be moments of anxiety, stress, and even disappointment. The first week of 2021 alone proved no different with the recent events happening in our nation's capital. It was then I was reminded that it is so important to focus on US - the good people! And in order for me to do so and continue to give the finest service (even to those who may or may not deserve it), I first must make health and wellness a priority in my life.
When I thought about writing this post, I wondered if people would even consider health and wellness as a category in hospitality - especially luxury hospitality. The truth is luxury hospitality would not be complete without a keen and detailed focus on health and wellness. Prior to this lifestyle trend, many people may have considered hotel to maybe have a spa - but may or may not experience this during their stay. At restaurants, a healthy focused meal would leave one to assume that the only thing to order on the menu would be a salad. However, this had evolved in so many ways and of course I am happy to share a few insights!
LUXURY HOTELS: SPA AND WELLNESS
So, the next time you seek out your next travel adventure or lets be honest - head towards your next staycation - take advantage of spa and wellness amenities (those extra unique touches that are much more than just a bed and a shower). Wellness travel especially during today's times are essential to the mind, body, and soul of the traveler and hotels are taking this consumer demand seriously. The key is to make wellness travel a regular experience and not just another travel trend. Take a look at some photo features below -
